And how do I explain that I don’t want to be friends on FB? While he was in SC (Myrtle Beach), he proposed to me on the beach. I said yes, blah blah blah. So we were engaged and we were going to wait until I finished school and then I was basically going to live on the road with him…. But when he moved to CA, the distance was just too much for us and we ended up breaking it off - Mutual decision. I usually talk to most of my ex’s and maintain a pretty good friendship with them, but he wouldn’t keep a friendship with me, he said it was too hard to talk to me. After not speaking to him for almost 5 years, He sends me a friends request on Facebook last night. I go glance at his page before I accept - and he’s married. I just can’t accept the friendship. I don’t want to see pics of him and his wife, especially when that was at one point going to be me. I know it’s obvious I still care about him, even though I haven’t talked to him in years…. But I wouldn’t say I’m still in love with him, I mean, come on, how can you be in love w/someone you haven’t talked to in almost 5 years? That’s insane. Anyways, I just can’t deal with that. I’d rather just keep this whole thing a closed book and keep moving on and not think about the past. I mean, I have a two year old and a busy life right now - yes, I am a single mother… And you know, I’ll admit that if he wasn’t married, I probably would accept the friendship… But he’s not. So…… Should I just ignore his friends request? Should I explain? I just don’t know how to handle this. Sorry it’s so long. When I say “wait for me to finish school” I meant college, not high school - by the way. Open Question: Do SWOSU students get free iphones? SWOSU: South Western Oklahoma State University Open Question: if someone leaves their parents home at age 19, do you think they’re be coming back? she says she misses home and misses her dog (her dog is foofoo and has been in our family now for 8 full years- she used to walk her every day) but she never talks about the possiblity of returning home. she doesn’t plan on getting a job either but she says if she does, she will probably just work part time at a nearby grocery store. i live in NJ and she moved to Oklahoma. I miss her and my family misses her. her friends miss her too. she has no friends over there and i saked her if she will ever go to college and her reply was no its a waste of time. do you think that if they get married that they’ll be able to survive off of $30,000 or so a year in oklahoma? i dont know how it is over there, but i think 30,000 is rough. my parents in NJ make $100,000 a year so it’s a bit of a change for her, right? so she only dated him for a year and shes still not sure if he’s the right one for her oh and he works long shifts so she is only able to see him for 1 hour a day except on sundays when they have the day to themselves..

State Rep. Randy Terrill, a Republican member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, has authored a bill — Quality of Education Assessment for Oklahoma Citizens Act of 2010 — which would mandate that public school districts “measure and assess” how many of the enrolled students are here illegally. One purpose of the assessment? To learn what the cost is to legal Oklahomans. It’s a fair query. And a pertinent one. The education of these children is no small endeavor. Taxpayers have a right to know those numbers, as do lawmakers who bear the responsibility of crafting and voting for state budgets. Citing statistics compiled by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), of Washington, D.C., Terrill estimates that in 2006 Oklahoma spent $160 million a year educating students who are unlawfully in the United States. Nationwide the total K-12 public school expenditure for illegal immigrant education costs the states nearly $12 billion annually. Americans have to thank the U.S. Supreme Court for this educational budget buster. In a 5-to-4 majority vote, the Supremes, in the case known as Plyler v. Doe (1982), ruled that states cannot withhold education funding to children who are illegal aliens. This, despite the fact that Justice William J. Brennan, Jr., writing for the majority, opined that “public education is not a ‘right’ granted to individuals by the Constitution.” That confession, from an unapologetic liberal no less, is of scant comfort to those who, today, bear the burden for instructing those students due to this bizarre foray into judicial activism. http://www.jbs.org/jbs-news-feed/6078-randy-terrill-fights-oklahoma-illegal-aliens Resolved Question: What colleges are there that offer degrees to become a pediatrician? Resolved Question: Do we actually need to teach evolution in the public schools? Why not let local districts decide? And when you think about, you realize that there is no reason to antagonize them so much. Why not just let them teach creationism or whatever? It might calm them down a bit. Some people might get upset and be like, “Oh no, but what about all the smart kids who are getting screwed over by the lack of education?” LOL. Okay, first of all, let’s be honest with ourselves - rural Oklahoma is not exactly a hotbed of future evolutionary biologists! At most, kids from places like rural Texas need to learn how to pump gas without burning themselves, or maybe how to hold the shovel while digging ditches so that they won’t develop carpal tunnel. Come on, man. We all know they have no future anyway. Why make them study a topic like evolution that they probably wouldn’t understand to begin with?
